As the value of classic cars has increased over the years, more and more cars are being represented as authentic when they aren't. There are now reproductions of most “factory” documentation including fender tags, broadcast sheets, window stickers and more. Even counterfeit VIN tags are being made. While these practices may seem harmless to some people, most people do not want to spend their hard-earned money on a bogus or re-bodied vehicle. VIN fraud is also a Federal crime.

With the largest on line free “found” section known, we have been a target of scammers and liars. Several of them have tried to claim items with no legal proof they own the car the item matches, or even that the car still exists. I reserve the right to refuse this service to anyone.
