January 2011 |
We had two more items claimed
in December! Our first IOTM for the new year is a broadcast
sheet that was sent in last month for a 1971 Barracuda convertible,
the VIN is BH27G1B329485 According to the prior owner the
car it matches was sold in Connecticut back in the 1980s.
This sheet if free to the owner of the car with proof of
legal ownership & proof that the car still exists.
Thanks to Fred for sending this
one in! He also sent in two more for 1971 Road Runners he
used to own. So, if you own one this would be a good time
to check the 'found' section here.

March 2011 |
We had another item claimed last
month! I have also heard that proof of ownership for last
month's IOTM is on the way to me now. :-)
Our IOTM for March is a broadcast sheet for a 1970 Challenger
R/T, the VIN is JS23N0B258963
You may notice that this sheet
had a printer skip, not all of the data is in the correct
boxes. This sheet was found inside a bucket seat in a Challenger
R/T with a Hemi, thanks go out to Harold for finding it
& sending it in!
This month also marks the Sixth
Anniversary of this site, thanks go out to everyone that
has helped out along the way!

April 2011 |
Hello again all, we had two more
items claimed in March!
Our IOTM for April is a broadcast sheet for a 1970 Challenger
with a 318, the VIN is JH23G0B189806
This is another one that was
found in a bucket seat back, so if you have not done so
yet, please search your car's front seat backs for broadcast
sheets. The more that are found & reported the more often
they can be matched to the cars they represent.

May 2011 |
Hello again folks,
I have some good news and more good news! We had only one
item claimed in April, but it was our February Item Of the
Month! You can check it out here.
It had been up for three days when I heard from Carsten
in Germany, he has provided us with other information in
the past. He was able to contact the car's owner in Sweden
via phone & he put us in touch with each other via email.
Christer H. in Sweden was then able to provide proof of
legal ownership, so the factory to dealership invoice &
the selling dealership's invoice were mailed out to him.
Thanks go out to Carsten for the assist & to Tom Race
as well for donating the items to the cause in the first
place!
Christer had already located one broadcast sheet in his
car that matched it, but he had not checked inside the bucket
seat backs yet, so he did so at my request. He found two
more, another one for his car & one for yet another
Challenger R/T SE! The VIN on it is JS29U0B205539 &
he was kind enough to send it in for our current IOTM! So,
if you own this car, this broadcast sheet can be claimed
for free with proof of legal ownership, but I will be asking
you to check inside both of your bucket seat backs as well.
The broadcast sheets for both cars also show that even though
the VINs are 47 numbers apart, the actual car builds were
only 30 cars apart on the assembly line. I do enjoy seeing
this type of thing.
But wait! There is more!
I was also able to buy another stash of original records
& they arrived here last week. They are for 348 cars
from the 1960 model year through the 1969 model year. Most
are original window stickers, some are transport invoices
from Chrysler to the dealership & there was also one
broadcast sheet.
The window stickers are from Van Zee Motors in New Holland,
South Dakota. For some of these cars there are three pages
of information, some have two pages but most only one. They
also include Dodge, Chrysler & Plymouth models.
So, if you have not searched the
found section here at HH lately, now would be a great
time.
With the original purchase price, page protector sleeves
& file folders, I have spent over $500.00 on these just
to keep them safe, organized & to be able to provide
them for free to the legal owners of the cars. So if anyone
wants to make a donation to help out, it would certainly
be appreciated.
Thanks to everyone that has helped support our efforts here
at HH in one way or another over the years as well!
Happy hunting,
Barry Washington

June 2011 |
Hello gang,
More good news, two more items were claimed in May at the
last minute!
Our June IOTM is another broadcast sheet, this one is for
JH23L0B339242 - it is free to the owner of the car with
proof of ownership.
Thanks once again to the folks who have sent original items
in! If you will be at Carlisle in July & you have any
items at all that you would like to donate to the cause,
please email me so I can find you at the show?

July 2011 |
Hello again all,
Our July IOTM is the DONATE
button. I have an opportunity to buy another wonderful collection
of several more vehicle records, but donations have been
slim & I do not have enough cash to secure them.
I could really use some monetary assistance here, so if
you can help out at all, it would be greatly appreciated.
Donations have always been few & far between even when times
were better for all of us. This site normally has about
4000 individual users a month.
If each one of you donated just $1.00 every three months,
we could do a LOT more for you all.
If you make a donation through PayPal, please mark it as
a 'gift' so all the funds come through?
Thanks once again to the folks who have donated original
items in for free also! If you will be at Carlisle in July
& you have any items at all that you would like to donate
to the cause, please email me so I can find you at the show.
If you would like to make a monetary donation in person
you are more than welcome to do that as well.
I will also be approaching some of the vendors I know at
Carlisle about sponsoring the IOTM section & the FOUND section
as well.

August 2011 |
Hello again all,
First of all, I would like to thank the nine people that
helped with monetary donations last month, Michael, James
Z., Dan, Daniel, James B., Andrew, Steven, Ron & Roger -
Thank you, it is definitely appreciated!
The bad news is that the records
collection that I mentioned last month went to another buyer
with more money. That said, I did still manage to buy a
smaller collection while in PA & our current IOTM is from
that purchase. So, if you own a red AAR Cuda - BS23J0B302098
please contact me to claim a broadcast sheet for your car.
As always, proof that the car still exists & proof of legal
ownership will be required.
Thanks once again to the folks
who have helped out along the way!

September 2011 |
Hello again all,
We had one more item claimed
last month!
Our new item of the month for
September is a broadcast sheet for a 1970 Barracuda with
a 383 4-bbl - BH23N0B178802 - here is where the plot thickens........
This car was for sale on Ebay
back in January of 2007 in NY state, it was originally FF4
green but it had been repainted yellow. It also had the
raisin-bran hood, side stripes & a rear spoiler added.
Does anyone know who has it now?
This sheet was found inside one
of the bucket seats in a 440-6 Cuda, so if you find a broadcast
sheet for one or more, please let me know? The owner of
the 440-6 car would love to have one that matches his car.
Thanks to shakerjoe on Moparts for sending this one
in!
As always, proof that the car
still exists & proof of legal ownership will be required.
I also received a small collection
of other broadcast sheets from another source, so look for
an update to the found section with those soon.

We had yet another item claimed
last month!
Our new item of the month for

November 2011 |
Hello again all, No items were
claimed last month. Our new item of the month for November
is a broadcast sheet for a 1970 Challenger with a 383 2-bbl,
the VIN is JH23L0B261029
As always, proof that the car
still exists & proof of legal ownership will be required.
Also, some of you have moved & or changed phone numbers
& email addresses since you registered. If this sounds like
you PLEASE send me a letter that includes;
Your name.
Your VIN. (if more that one VIN, please mail a separate
page per car, this helps me keep my out of pocket costs
down)
Your current mailing address.
Your current email address.
Your current phone number.
Registry information is useless to both of us if I can not
find you when something surfaces for your car. There have
been three separate cases this month where my attempts to
contact the owner of registered cars have proved futile.

December 2011 |
Hello again all, Happy Holidays
from the HH staff!
No items were claimed last month.
Our new item of the month for December is a broadcast sheet
for a Hamtramck built 1970 Challenger Western Sport Special
with a 318, the VIN is JH23G0B403654.
It was the original intent that
all Western Sport Special Challengers were to be built at
the plant in LA since they were all intended for sale in
California. But for some reason, it appears that the LA
plant stopped producing all E-bodies in May of 1970. So,
from that point on the WSS Challenger orders were sent to
Hamtramck.
As always, proof that the car
still exists & proof of legal ownership will be required.
Also, some of you have moved & or changed phone numbers
& email addresses since you registered. If this sounds like
you PLEASE send me a letter that includes;
Your name.
Your VIN. (if more that one VIN, please mail a separate
page per car, this helps me keep my out of pocket costs
down)
Your current mailing address.
Your current email address.
Your current phone number.
Registry information is useless to both of us if I can not
find you when something surfaces for your car.
