Another item was claimed last month! Our item of the month for February is another broadcast sheet, this one is for a 1970 two seat Belvedere station wagon with a 3-speed manual with column shift & a 225 CID engine. These cars were fairly scarce even when new with approximately 450 sold. This one was found in a bucket seat like so many are, thanks to Randall C. in Canada for sending it in!

Hello again everyone,

No items were claimed last month.

For our June 2013 IOTM, we have a broadcast sheet from the LA plant for a 1970 Dodge Dart four door, the VIN on it is LH41G0E151252

It was found under the front bench seat of another four door dart with a VIN 266 numbers higher, so the cars must have been built close to each other on the line. These two cars are only the 7th & 8th Darts I have heard of from the LA plant so far. At some point in or around May of 1970, it appears as if the LA plant stopped producing E-bodies. This is the reason that some Western Sport Special Challengers were built at the Hamtramck Plant in the last few months of the model year.


All of the 1970 LA built Darts, Dusters & Valiants I have seen so far were also built in the last few months of the model year, so for some reason LA may have switched from the E-body cars to the A-body cars. If anyone has any late build A, B or E bodies I would love to hear from you, with your help we may be able to fill in some gaps in the timeline.
