January 2018 |
No items were claimed last month,
but...
Paul mailed in a request for
a fender tag decode for his 1970 Duster 340. In his letter,
he mentioned getting a TA 340 block with it so I checked
my registry files for the VIN & the car had been reported
before!
Nick at
had seen the car at the Spring Fling show in Van Nuys in
2012 & sent a photo of it to me, so I was sure the car
was still out there.
I asked about it on a few different
forums, but within 4 minutes of posting about the car on
Moparts.com
, the owner's pal Chris replied! From there it was just
a matter of putting the car owner in touch with Paul.
Earl & Paul were able to
come to an agreement rather quickly, so courtesy of Sourosh,
here is a photo of Earl & Paul with the engine all loaded
up for the drive home to be reunited with the AAR Cuda it
came from.

While talking with Earl, he had
mentioned having owned a few different cars over the years
like most of us, so I asked what I always ask - "Did
you ever find any broadcast sheets in any of them that did
not match the car they were found in?" His reply was
"Yes, one, it is for a 1970 440-6 Cuda."
Earl was kind enough to send
it in, so here it is, our first 'IOTM' for 2018! The VIN
is BS23V0B192282.
As always, proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
this item.
Special thanks to Nick, Paul,
Chris, Earl for the help & to Sourosh for the use of
his photo!
It always feels good when a 'match'
is made & others are always on the horizon.
Over 90 more VINs for items ready
to claim have been loaded up to start out the new year.
Hammy New Year & may 2018 treat us all well!

February 2018 |
Four more items were claimed
last month! What a great way to start the new year. :-)
We also had four items sent in
for a 1970 Challenger, the VIN is JH23C0B359781 - Ray sold
the car & forgot that he had these two broadcast sheets,
the Consumer Information sheet & the original warranty in
his safe. He had sold the car & when he found these, he
contacted the buyer, but that buyer had sold the car in
2014 & did not keep a record of the new owners name, so
all we know is that it went to Missouri. It was a 48,000
mile car in excellent condition when Ray sold it, so chances
are quite high that the car still exists!
As always, proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
this item.
Thanks for sending these in Ray.
I will let you know when they are claimed!

March 2018 |
March 2018 is the 13th Anniversary
for going online with this site!
Thanks so much to all our volunteers,
for the monetary donations & to all the people that
have sent original items they have found from all over the
world, it has been a wonderful 13 years.
No items were claimed last month,
but 16 new items were added, so we now have over 8,800 items
waiting to be claimed.
Our IOTM for our 13th Anniversary
is a broadcast sheet for a 1970 440-6 Super Bee, the VIN
is WM23V0G163508
The former owner of this Super Bee said he had sold the
car to someone in Japan, so hopefully with the world-wide
audience we have here, the car's owner will hear of this
broadcast sheet & claim it.
As always, proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
this item.
Thanks again to all of our supporters,
the site would not be what it is today without all of you!

April 2018 |
No items were claimed last
month.
Our IOTM for April just came
in the mail this week, it is for a 1970 Charger R/T SE,
the VIN is XS29U0G105713
This sheet is damaged, one whole corner is missing but thankfully
the VIN is intact.
As always, proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
this item.
Thanks for sending it in Bruce!

May 2018 |
No items were claimed in April.
Our IOTM for May was sent in
back in 2010 & it is a bit of a mystery.
It was found in another car,
but as you can see it is damaged & the last two digits
of the VIN are missing.
It is for a 1969 Road Runner
convertible with a 383, column shift automatic, Y2 paint
& a black bench seat interior, the partial VIN is RM27H9G1235
something, something, thus the mystery.......
So in addition to the normal
proof of legal ownership & proof the car still exists,
confirmation of the VON will be required to claim this item.
Thanks for sending it in Craig!

June 2018 |
Two more items were claimed
in May!
Several new items were added
as well. The 'Found' section is now approaching 9000 items
available for the owners of the matching cars to claim.
Thanks to everyone that has sent in new items & helped out
along the way!
Our IOTM for June is a broadcast
sheet for a 1970 Cuda 340. This sheet was found inside of
a bucket seat of another car, which is so common.
The VIN on this broadcast sheet
is BS23H0B324753
As always proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim it.
Thanks for sending it in DJ!

July 2018 |
Ah, July is finally here! We
are less than 2 weeks away from the Carlisle show!
A pal let me drive her green
Challenger today & I do love green. So with the month
& color in mind, I selected the newest IOTM for another
green Challenger scheduled for a hoped-for-production day
in July of 1970.
Our IOTM is a broadcast sheet
for a 1970 Challenger R/T with a 383. This sheet was handed
over in person with a few others by my pal Gene - he told
me out of a 1970 Fury 4-door that he wanted to sell that
day. It was mine not long after that & I still love
driving it.
Thanks Gene!
The VIN on this broadcast sheet
is JS23N0B440628
As always proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
it.
If any one reading this has a
broadcast sheet, dealership records or anything else that
they would like to donate to the cause at Carlisle please
email me Click
Here before the show with what you have & a location
/ day so I can find you?
Thanks again to all to those
that have helped out along the way & I will see some
of you very soon!

August 2018 |
With the
items handed over in person at the Carlisle show, our Found
Section here now has items for over 9000 cars waiting
to be claimed!
We also had three more records
claimed in July!
Our IOTM is actually 3 items
for the same car this month. Two broadcast sheets as well
as the carbon paper that was used in between them.
The VIN on these is JS23N0B100745
- a 1970 Challenger R/T with the 383.
These were handed over in person
at the Carlisle show, thanks Peter!
This car was for sale on Ebay
back in February of 2016, does anyone know where it is or
who owns it now?
As always proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
it.

September 2018 |
We had two more records claimed
in August!
Our IOTM for September is a broadcast
sheet for a 1970 Cuda with a 383, the VIN is BS23N0B388290
As always proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
it.

October 2018 |
We had another record claimed
in September! The owner found a broadcast sheet in his 1970
Challenger for a different one that he said he would mail
in, so stay tuned for that addition.
Thanks James!
Keeping with that 1970 Challenger
theme, our IOTM for October is a broadcast sheet for another
1970 Challenger. This one is for a Challenger R/T convertible,
the VIN is JS27N0B201366
Thanks for sending this one in
Ronald!
As always proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
it.

November 2018 |
No records were claimed in
October.
Our IOTM for November is a broadcast
sheet for a 1970 Challenger with a 318 engine & 3-speed
stick, one of my favorite combinations to drive!
The VIN is JH23G0B179607.
As always proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
it.

December 2018 |
A broadcast sheet for an AAR
Cuda was claimed in November!
Our IOTM for December is a broadcast
sheet for a 1970 Coronet sedan with a blue bench seat interior.
This is odd because it was found inside a tan bucket seat
in a 1970 Charger. Normally broadcast sheets are found in
the same interior color & type of seat, so this find
is unusual. Perhaps an employee was just tucking it out
of the way, but we may never know for sure...
The VIN on it is WH41G0G193582;
Thanks for sending it in Chris!
As always proof of legal ownership
& proof the car still exists will be required to claim
it.
I own one of these cars myself
along with 3 other 1970 four doors, so I appreciate the
history as well as driving these cars just as much as the
two door cars.
